Welcome musician!

I am so excited to have you be a part of a continuously growing project and something that brings so much joy to audiences. This is something I’ve been doing for a few years now and it finally has the support it has needed. This is why you are here. My local band in Bloomington, IN and my friends who join me in western NY are not all always able to hit the road with me, and the shows are popping up in multiple places. I want things to be as transparent and clear for everyone, hence this page! I will be adding to and adjusting over time, but for this first quarter of 2026, this is what I can provide to you. Please never hesitate to reach out to me with questions or concerns. I want everyone to have as much fun as I do on stage and I make a very strong point that I work hard so I can play hard. I just ask that you do the same for me, the band, the audience, and for yourself! Please review everything below and make sure you know what is expected before you fully commit to this project. If it’s not for you, I totally understand. Just let me know!

Now, to the details! Please read ALL of this…

PREPARATION

If you haven’t realized it yet, rehearsals are going to be a tough thing to work in. Especially since many members of the bands are not located in the same city. With that said, preparation is going to be self-guided. I am giving you everything I have. Charts, tempos, details, notes, lyrics, assignments, video, guides. So it is very much expected for you to learn all the material so that when we arrive at the venue for soundcheck we can run any potential trouble spots, or places people have questions about. The songs are not exactly like anything out there. If you’ve heard the songs…you “know” them. But, my arrangements are a little different. There are some that are very similar, but the ending my be different, or a verse is dropped. Just walk through with the charts/lyrics, check the notes, and all should be clear! Ask if you are unsure!

TRAVEL

If you live in Bloomington, or near by, you are welcome to travel with me to shows. No, I do not have a bus, but can travel 3-4 with minimal equipment. If you are traveling from somewhere else, I can reimburse for gas in most cases. It will rely on complete communication between us so if musicians are coming from the same area (ex: Chicago to go to Michigan) I hope that there can be an arrangement of carpooling. Saving the planet one less car at a time, right? Also, makes it possible for everyone to get paid the max amount and removes overhead expenses from the company. Again, this is also why certain musicians will be chosen for certain gigs over others…not ability or talent.

HOTEL/OVERNIGHT

Many of the shows will provide hotel rooms. There is a 99% you will be rooming with a fellow bandmate. If you already know someone in the band, you are welcome to let me know so that you can room together. In the case that a hotel is not provided, management will be arranging airbnb plans as the cost will be lower than getting 4-5 rooms overnight. You will not end up sleeping in the car! This will be decided on a date to date basis.

FOOD

Ok, the question everyone has is if you will be fed. After 25 years of working with musicians, I know this is a big one. When we are traveling, I will make sure that snacks and drinks are always provided. I get hangry, so food is always on my planner. Meals are typically provided at the venues, but if not, I will make sure that food is provided prior to the show and likely post the show. I will also make sure I find out if you have allergies, food preferences (vegan, gluten free, etc.). All in all, you will be fed.

LOCATIONS/LENGTH OF TRAVEL

Like I mentioned earlier, shows are being booked everywhere! So I can’t give you an exact idea outside of the ones that are already booked or waiting in the wings to have signed contracts. Just trust that management and myself are very aware that long drives and full shows combined can be exhausting and we will try to be as efficient as possible to have the layout of shows ‘make sense’. There is no length in the ‘tour’. These are traveling shows that will be booked until I can’t do it anymore! If you find yourself able to do one show and not the other while on the road, chances are I will have to find someone who can do all the shows on whatever mini-run is happening. Again, not based on talent or ability. It will have to based on availability and accessibility.

LENGTH OF SHOWS

This will vary depending on the venue. Most shows will be 2 hours with an intermission. Some venues prefer to have a 90 min show straight through. So set lists will depend on that. BUT, those two sets will stay consistent as I do not use a setlist on stage and this show is pretty rinse and repeat!

PAYMENT FOR SHOWS

Every show will have a different payment. With that said, the average will be $300/show. Payments will be provided by check or sent via Zelle following shows.

NOW…

If all of this looks good, seems like a good fit, and you are ready to move to the next step, please fill out the schedule form below (which will be updated regularly with requests for musicians/shows). As of now, a lot of positions have been filled, but again, shows WILL be added. So if there isn’t a date on the list that works, there may be ones added in the future that will. You also have access to the full guide by clicking on the ‘charts’ button. It will take you to a doc that has everything you should need as well as notes I will be adding as things start getting up and running again in March! It will hopefully help answer any questions about songs, but I want to make sure you know I am always available to answer your questions. Please also send me video of the clips requested below as soon as you are able. It will give me a general idea of how to match players up!
